Stewart Cink was a happy man at the end of Sunday’s play off at the The Open Golf Championship at Turnberry.  Turnberry is a special place for me but not because of golf!  Peter and I stayed in the hotel on the first night of our Honeymoon 40 years ago!  We married on the weekend that the horse ‘Highland Wedding’ won ‘The Grand National’ and with most of the men at the wedding in kilts ‘Highland Wedding’ was an appropriate bet.  One way and another it was a happy weekend!

Holiday Insurance!

There were many bookings made well in advance  for this years big attraction, The Gathering, which is taking place next month.  The trouble is that some cancellations inevitably have to be made by travellers who, for ill heath or for some other reason, are no longer able to travel.  It is REALLY worthwhile to take out holiday insurance as soon as you make a booking.  –  Just in case!
